I’m a multimedia journalist with a passion for human-interest stories.
I recently completed a two-year reporting fellowship with Hearst Connecticut Media and am looking for writing/editing opportunities in Chicagoland. Right now, I am a freelance education and city government reporter for two community newspapers owned by 22nd Century Media, a company based in the Chicago suburbs. (I am also working part-time at Deerfield Public Library as a patrons services assistant, a fancy title for a front desk worker, so I can get a head start on my retirement dream of becoming a librarian.)
My work has been published in The Lake Forest Leader, The Norwalk Hour, The Wilton Villager, The Connecticut Post, and The News-Gazette, which ran my award-winning story, “A stronger bond.”
My specialties include: literary features journalism, features writing, news writing, business-to-business news, communications, blogging and content writing. I also have experience in photography and videography, and would like to work more with audio.
Think I’d be a good fit for your team and/or project? If so, send me an email at email@example.com.
